POSITION:  Regional Certified Pre-owned Manager

LOCATION:  Mahwah, NJ

The primary responsibility of the Regional Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Manager is to effectively implement the National Remarketing group business strategies.  Included within this strategy are the following imperatives:   focus on positive impacts to residual values, achievement of retail pre-owned and CPO sales objectives, increase CPO showroom traffic, maximize retailer profitability, and a dedication to improve customer satisfaction/owner loyalty for both brands at the regional level.  

 

This regional position serves as the main point of contact and subject matter expert as it relates to pre-owned vehicles with operating emphasis on Certified Pre-Owned Jaguars and Land Rovers.  This position will interface with the auction facilities to ensure that our banking partner, and other 3rd party banks are properly adhering to JLR auction reconditioning standards. In addition, this role interfaces with all levels at the dealership (dealer principals, general managers, certified pre-owned managers, sales managers and operational staff) and work alongside JLR NA market managers and aftersales market managers to improve pre-owned processes, identify opportunities and to provide consulting services on all national CPO wholesale, marketing and sales programs.

 

The Regional CPO Manager will monitor national, co-op & retailer CPO/pre-owned websites and retailer processes in accordance with CPO policies of both brands. 

 

What you will be doing:

  • Automotive Sales, Distribution, Advertising, Marketing and Financing principles 

  • Variable, fixed and asset management marketing and sales programs that drive sales and improve resale values 

  • Knowledge of Manheim Market Report (MMR) and extensive knowledge of the secondary market 

  • Maintains awareness of automotive and product trends, developments and information both internal and external to JLR 

  • Must be self-sufficient, self-starter and motivated to achieve. must be pro-active in developing relationships within the regional automotive network. 

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Perform other duties as required

 

What you will need: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field 
  • 7 or more years of automotive experience from a combination of exposure to an automotive dealership, manufacturer, wholesaler, sales, distributor and/or auction

  • Business PC software: Word and PowerPoint

  • Must be proficient in Excel

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills

  • Minimum of three (3) years automotive retailer-facing experience is preferred

  • Experience developing and successfully implementing marketing and sales plans is a plus

  • Knowledge of JLR NA vehicle and retailer systems is a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are essential, and must be comfortable presenting to all levels of management;

  • Must have strong business acumen, and the ability to work with people at varying levels with the organization and network;

 

 

Schedule:  Hybrid Ways of Working (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - office days; Wednesday and Friday - choice days)

 

Recruitment Salary Range:  $107,500 - $150,000

 

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus in addition to a full range of medical/health, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick/personal, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position”.
