POSITION:  Warranty Senior Analyst

LOCATION: Mahwah, NJ

RECRUITMENT SALARY RANGE: $95,000 - $119,000

Reporting to the Financial & Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for providing financial oversight and analytical support for vehicle warranty programs.  This includes reporting, analyzing trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize warranty spend. This role is the finance lead to support strategic decision making through deep financial analysis, KPI tracking, and assist with implementation of cost recovery initiatives.

  • Partner with the US and Central Warranty Teams, as well as Central Warranty Finance team to support delivery of local warranty cost initiatives. Work with local warranty lead to analyze and assess business cases of local initiatives. 
  • Support the analysis of  warranty cost drivers and work with local warranty lead to identify opportunities for local influence. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement identified opportunities, including presentations to senior leadership team.
  • Collaborate with local operational team to develop and manage robust warranty labour hour process and ensure process is followed.
  • Partner with Central Warranty finance as required for campaign or recall cost impact analysis. Lead business case development and presentation to senior leadership. Liaise with Procurement team, external vendors, and other parties to facilitate business case deployment. 
  • Track performance of large specific recall and campaign costs versus original estimates. Calculate and provide actuals versus estimates, including commentary of variances, and reporting to local and central leadership teams. 
  • Communicate with Warranty Audit to understand potential areas of opportunity. Collaborate with warranty team, and support of any identified opportunities. 
  • Provide input for financial planning related to warranty exposure. 
  • Extract, clean, and analyse large datasets from EDW  and warranty claims systems.
  • Communicate with central finance up to CFO as required on key warranty projects or initiatives, on a frequent basis.
  • Perform other duties as required

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience related to the role 
  • Well developed finance skills  
  • Excellent business partnering skills
  • Ability to manage several projects at one time 
  • Willingness to dig beyond the numbers and identify cost opportunities
  • Strong excel and data analysis skills. Knowledge of BI tools. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills.
  • Understanding of automotive systems, parts and vehicle service lifecycle 
  • Ability to balance analytical rigor with operational practicality.

* Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus in addition to a full range of medical/health, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick/personal, and parental leave).
