Dreaming for tomorrow is about more than ideas and ambitions. We’re already building the next generation of vehicles, using repurposed and brand-new technology and techniques. We’re doing more than dream, we’re creating the future of mobility and automotive for years to come.

We’re reinventing what tomorrow looks like at Jaguar Land Rover. There’s a revolution underway in our industry – and we’re leading it. We’ve always been innovators. But our future will be driven by the possibilities created by new technologies as never before.

Your talents in software development and DevOps could take your career in many directions.

Reporting to the Principal Site Reliability Engineer and working closely with other multi-disciplined engineers, you will be a valued member of the Digital Delivery Centre (DDC) team, consistently delivering to challenging business objectives, with a focus on testability, robustness, and performance for exciting new projects. You will work on real projects alongside experienced engineers and with constant opportunities to learn and build your new site reliability career.

Furthermore, you will Review deployment and operational environments, troubleshoot issues and managing technical operations whilst working with product teams to ensure systems are secure, scalable and reliable.

There will be a blend between maintaining GCP/AWS platforms with Kubernetes and Docker and working on cutting edge future developments within critical areas of the business and collaboration with development teams to help build in reliability and automation.

You will have technical knowledge with hands-on practical experience (2 years +) with Unix OS and ideally recent experience in container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc) and a scripting language specifically Bash / Python. In addition, you will have knowledge and involvement (2 years +) of at least one major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure) and with Kubernetes and Terraform experience.

Ideally, you will also possess:

  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, technologies, and protocols (TCP/IP, IPSec, HTTP, FTP, DHCP, and DNS)
  • Strong experience in operational monitoring and dash-boarding for applications (ELK, SonarQube, Prometheus, Grafana)

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
