OPPORTUNITY

You will support the Global Commodity Leaders and Global Strategic Buyers in the development and execution of commodity strategies and the Global sourcing activity through the Global Sourcing Process (GSP) and responsible for all post sourcing and contract management activities for designated commodities and suppliers within your region.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Strategy & Sourcing

Responsible for executing the commodity and supplier strategy while maintaining strong operational relationships with designated regional suppliers. Ensures suppliers follow the defined strategy and contribute to improved purchasing performance. Leads supplier negotiations within the region post‑SCPA.

2. Cost Management

Oversees new Model Programme introductions for assigned commodities, ensuring supplier obligations, production readiness, and the resolution of commercial or programme risks. Drives effective cost management post‑SCPA by achieving target costs and continuous year‑on‑year reductions. Manages in‑contract commercial issues and ensures timely completion of Procurement deliverables in line with PCDS milestones.

3. Supplier Relationship Management

Participates in Supplier Business Reviews to support the development of supplier relationships aligned with the segmentation model. Acts as the main interface for regional stakeholders and Product Engineering to ensure alignment in quality, cost, delivery, and timing. Supports Global Commodity Leaders in enhancing global supplier relationships for designated commodities.

4. Capacity & Supply Chain Performance

Collaborates with the Capacity Planning Team to manage strategic capacity changes and constraints post‑SCPA. Monitors external supply chain performance and communicates key updates to relevant stakeholders. Ensures capacity planning and supply chain operations support required commercial and operational performance.

5. CCDS Activities

Executes all CCDS activities across process gateways, including validation of key commercial and contractual cost elements. Assesses labour, manufacturing process times, material and information flows, bill of design, bill of process, and key BOF cost drivers. Evaluates tooling, OEE, shift patterns, capacity flexibility, value stream maps, BOF maps, and considers tariffs, duties, incentives, and business‑continuity requirements.

6. Other Responsibilities

Contributes to process improvements and shares best practices across the regional procurement team, including leading cost‑reduction initiatives. Manages supplier and supply chain risks post‑SCPA and ensures compliance with JLRQ and internal processes. Performs additional tasks assigned by the line manager while maintaining procurement system data integrity.

 

WHAT YOU´LL NEED

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience 
  • Delivering complex supply chain solutions in a fast paced, high pressured manufacturing environment 
  • Ability to work independently, results driven, demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance with the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment 
  • Implementing and delivering procurement strategies with the focus on total value chain delivery
  • Identify opportunities for creating value in a commodity or commodities 
  • A resilient and enthusiastic individual who responds constructively to new ideas and inputs
  • A strong communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders to influence cross-functional engagement 
  • A effective team player, actively develops and supports team members
  • Maintaining compliance with standard policies and procedures
