Environmental Engineer 

Grade C, local Nitra

Salary:  From 1434 eur monthly, 13th salary, 0-15% yearly bonus, other benefits according JLR rules

OPPORTUNITY

Following JLR REIMAGINE STRATEGY a new role is required to support decarbonization work streams at Nitra site. You will play a key role in the Plant Environmental Team to support sustainability strategy, manage compliance and solving complex environmental challenges on a range of significant projects in Slovakia Nitra plant. Maintaining and further development of ISO 14001 system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement decarbonization projects across the plant
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders on decarbonization projects
• Propose new ideas on decarbonization projects and reduction of carbon footprint
• Investigation of existing and new environmental legal requirements on decarbonization and energy
• GHG emission calculation, benchmarking, analysis and modelling
• Management of sustainability across the lifecycle of individual projects
• ISO 14001 (environmental management system) maintenance and further development
• Organization of internal and external audits, coordination of internal environmental representatives
• Environmental data management (EMS toolkit, SOFI) and managing plant environmental compliance

CANDIDATE

Essential:

• Masters Degree in an environmental, sustainability, engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of job experience in environmental field, preferably automotive or similar
• English language B1 / B2 (intermediate English or upper-intermediate English)
• Experience with working in international teams
• Good knowledge of Slovak and European legislation – focus on air protection, carbon emissions, GHG

Desirable:

• Office skills (Office 365, Teams, Excel, Power Point, MS Project)
• Driving license B
• Greenhouse gas protocol training, internal auditor (ISO 14001) training
