THE OPPORTUNITY

The purpose of this role is to provide support the central ergonomics team in the delivery of ergonomics within the Nitra plant current manufacturing and future vehicle programmes. Through a period of significant change for the plant, this role will provide capacity to reduce existing concerns, manage the transition to Project Leonardo (alternative assessment system) and deal with other product, process and facility changes introduced. Working with cross functional plant teams to support the health, safety and wellbeing of our operators.

WHAT TO EXPECT

•    Working closely with the Health & Wellbeing Manager, Senior Ergonomist and the team.
•    Using internal toolset, standards and documents - undertake detailed ergonomics assessments for planned work situations and equipment, issues raised through proactive risk assessment or concerns raised by operators. 
•    Support plant investigations/implementation into interim control measures and corrective actions to eliminate or reduce ergonomics concerns. 
•    Support Project Leonardo implementation – testing, stakeholder engagement, delivery. 
•    Deliver ergonomics training to internal customer groups and participate in development of future training formats.
•    Participate in research to develop improved Production Ergonomics process and standards

•    Conduct ergonomics assessment audits with write up and follow up as per agreed requirements.
•    Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time.
•    Provide technical and legislative support and guidance on ergonomic issues to production and engineering and other relevant teams.
•    Cooperate on creating and delivering training programs on ergonomics training and compliance tailored to the automotive industry.
•    Cooperation with Safety team to secure wellbeing at work for employees.

WHAT YOU´LL NEED

•    A qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or Mechanical and Technical fields or Health and Rehabilitation fields is required, preferably to MSc. degree level or equivalent.
•    Good level of IT literacy and the ability to analyse and present data using IT systems and Microsoft Office and other software.
•    Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
•    English language B1/B2 (intermediate English or upper-intermediate English).
•    Accurate administration skills, attention to detail, data management and manipulation and have the ability to build business cases for return on investment.
