THE OPPORTUNITY

This role has responsibility for leading part of the launch activities into our Nitra plant, through co-ordination of most Business Functions with the objective of achieving flawless Product Launches, on time, to cost, achieving quality targets and delivering to the highest levels of customer satisfaction

WHAT TO EXPECT 

  • Lead the delivery of launch build phases, both in UK and in Slovakia, in order to deliver a flawless product launch via the Launch Quality  Operating System.  Manage exceptions and containments during build phases
  • Support and lead activities with PD (Product Design), GME (Global Manufacturing Engineering), IOPD, Production and MP&L (Material Planning and Logistics) to ensure all future products and process requirements are in line with World Class Factory targets.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the workload of your team in line with the departmental scorecard and actively drive the team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Launch budget planning and tracking, preparation of accurate and objective program status reports.
  • Support and lead during critical project gateway reviews.
  • Lead planning and delivery of pre-volume vehicle build specification matrices and build events
  • Lead Safety First and Customer Focus mind set within the team
  • Lead problem solving resolution from Technology to allow progression of vehicles, also support Level 0 investigation with cross functional launch teams to resolve any outstanding issues from audits, quality checks
  • Ensure robust Production Readiness implementation, tracking open RED actions liaising with wider Launch team. 

 

WHAT YOU´LL NEED 

  • Strong level of reading, written and spoken English 
  • Experience of Automotive Manufacturing operations and processes 
  • Ability to work off site at alternative locations, including overseas for periods of 4-12 weeks during launch phases 
  • Strong proven record of leadership and team management skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels via reports, presentations and workgroup briefings 
  • Self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude, and ability to work unsupervised 
  • Mindset setup for continuous improvement 
  • IT skills on high level, Agile approach 
  • Knowledge of procedures regarding safety and ergonomics 
  • Ability to be flexible with working hours, shifts and overtime
