Lead Process Engineer ( METROLOGY SENIOR LEADER )

Grade D, local Nitra

Salary:  From 2500 eur monthly, 0-15% yearly bonus, other benefits according JLR rules



This role will support the Quality Leadership Group in product reviews and ensure product and process issues are tracked with robust closure dates to increase model line profit with the provision of high performance vehicles. Main responsibilities include developing initiatives, solutions and tracking performance to closure .

You’ll have Dimensional accuracy of all Body in White (BIW) production assemblies. You’ll co-ordinate process tooling supplier selection and vendor management. You’ll provide feasibility of all designs to suit manufacturing build requirements, Design for Assembly (DFA) and alignment to Bill of Process (BOP). You’ll represent CME at program meetings at all levels and present where required with accuracy, passion, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.



· Roll out the strategy to ensure 100% compliance to the MQOS procedure deck & TS16949 relating to Metrology audits standards. Report on plant Metrology status for MQOS non conformances and correctiove action and status to plant management.

· Leadership team of metrology inspectors and keep evidence related to certification from suppliers, calibration marks, safety and maintenance set up with facilities.

· Define and roll out the Statistical Process Control for each Technology aligned to the Dimensional Control.

· Plan, schedule and Lead the Metrology Manufacturing Audits throughout the site within all technology areas or our suplliers based on the requirement from STA Department.

· Report out Site Metrology Quality KPI´s (process repeatability and process performance) and Product Audit performance including corrective actions for concerns identified.

· Concern, definition and problem analysis will be an integral part of job, as will liason with Company Quality Coaches and audit teams to ensure continued compliance to company and plant level procedures.

· Interface with Company Quality to ensure key procedures are being adhered to, and helping to develop continuous improvements processes. Overall responsibility for departmental Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale.

· Metrology support to all department in Nitra Plant. (PVT/ STA/CME/CoC/Production and WCPA task)

· Lead the Metrology facility installations (airconditions, monitor air humidity in winter, closing and opening gates etc.) in order to keep definied technical parameters.

· Desing, develop and measure calibrations to determine accuracy, precision, reliability and traceability for Dimensonal Process.

· Launch support with New Model integrations by new fixture and program for new model.

· Self Support for measurement programme commissioning and optimisation with validation.

· Re-programm programmes based on the requests from DMBI / CME / ME. · Maintenance and technical support liaison with external vendors for repairs, calibrations and operating system upgrading.

· Optimization efforts for GOM with system enhancements (add servers for processing). Optimalisation program in the machine for be more effective.

· Plan and check calibration of metrology equipments and realize it by help of supplier and Purchasing Department during the shut down.




· Exerience I procedure adherence control and auditing in a manufacturing environment (e.g. TS-16949, APQP, SPC, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans)

· Experience in leading teams within in a manufacturing high output

· Good statistical and numerical reasoning skills

· Abillity to lead cross functional teams

· Abillity to collect, collate and communicate data effectively to all levels within the Company is essential

· Proven Problem Solving skills

· Experience 5 years minimum is a similar role

· Experience of Homologation / Calibration audit compliance within a manufacturing environment

· Knowledge of Homologations and external certification processes

· Competent User of MS Office: Word, Power point & particularily Excel



· Familiarity within automotive manufacturing dimensional processes

· Experience in quality management processes and operating systems

· Experience with Lean and continuous improvement tools

· 6 Sigma Black Belt

· Strong communication & presentation skills

· Enthusiasm, drive, commitment and the confidence to achieve goals with minimal supervision
