Logistics Improvement Senior Leader

OPPORTUNITY

The MP&L Launch team are responsible for the co-ordination of all MP&L plant functions interfacing into launch teams to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and timing targets are achieved for New Model activities. As an MP&L Optimisation Senior Leader, you’ll play an instrumental role in increasing Efficiency of current Logistic processes, implementation of new solutions and supporting vehicle Launch Build phases. You’ll manage and coordinate current logistic process revision, share best practice and lead implementation for proposed solutions. You’ll provide support to other MP&L functions and key stakeholder for launch related projects and work with Trim and Final, Paint and BIW to deliver the best solutions for material presentation.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Arrange & facilitate workshops and meetings with all MP&L Plant Functional Teams & LLP
  • Lead testing for proposed solution with impact evaluation on current process with regard to the highest possible efficiency while maintaining safety, quality, and ergonomics.
  • Create new processes and implement them to existing log processes, create related documentation,
  • Organise trainings and supportive materials for new processes to ensure, that all stakeholders are fully trained in time,
  • Create solutions with regards to future projects
  • Review existing Logistic processes considering Benchmark and Best practices,
  • Develop and implement optimised logistic processes to improve efficiency, quality, people, safety and environment
  • Benchmark logistic processes at other JLR sites to promote standardisation and share best practices
  • Provide support to other non MP&L key stakeholders i.e. Engineering, STA and Plant launch,
  • Proactively work to support continuous improvement
  • Provide support for the duration of all pre-build phases (HTFB through to J1).
  • Support new coming projects during Delivery and Launch phase, be part of working groups,
  • Utilise MP&L based system tools (PODS, SAP, MES) to support planning and problem resolution activities
  • Provide support to other MP&L functions for launch related strategic activities

WHAT YOU´LL NEED

  • Greate knowledge of LOG processes, (min. 5 years’ experience)
  • Strong Experience from LOG operation and LOG engineering (methods)
  • Experience with LOG optimisation and process creation in car producer or similar size company,
  • Experience with leading Improvements groups and workshops,
  • Experience with New model years project and new car implementation to production line,
  • Overview about the main LOG processes – all department,
  • Ability to cooperate with multiple departments, 
  • Ability to use Excel / Microsoft Office Suite, layouts
  • Innovative thinking and cost efficiency mindset with focus on automated solution for LOG,
  • Experience of plant launch process
  • Experience with SAP (or similar tool to manage master data)
  • Experience in multicultural environment,
  • Candidates must demonstrate drive, initiative and strong analytical skills
  • Can manage and resolve a wide range of complex problems using problem solving tools
  • Ability to plan and prioritise varying workload and demands
  • English language -level B2
