Project Packaging analyst

Salary:  From 2060 eur monthly, 0-15% yearly bonus, other benefits according JLR rule

OPPORTUNITY

The Project Packaging Analyst will support L463 project team with the identification of improvement opportunities around packaging (both financial, safety and quality improvements), and then work with relevant teams to trial and the potentially implement those improvements – both physically and on the production systems. This role will be a mix of identifying opportunities through your own initiative, and reacting to issues found during design concept & prototype buy-offs and during pre-build phases – you will then work with teams across.

WHAT TO EXPECT  

  • Resolution and co-ordination of all packaging related issues across L463 project until JOB1. Entails providing real time containment and development of permanent corrective actions.
  • Implement and ensure world class packaging processes through data analysis and working closely with suppliers and L463 project teams.
  • Lead cross functional teams to resolve complex packaging issues including supplier cost claims and packaging safety issues.
  • Support all packaging changes / improvements resulting from quality issues.
  • Maintenance of PODS/SAP packaging data.
  • Liaise with New Model Launch packaging teams to ensure flawless execution of new model programmes.
  • Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction and deliver best practice through benchmarking studies.
  • Look for new ways of working, delivering original and imaginative approaches to problems.

WHAT YOU´LL NEED

  • Can demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills in data control of production processes.
  • Can demonstrate the ability to make decisions quickly, sometimes in demanding situations.
  • Must be systems literate and demonstrate analytical skills including knowledge of MS Office and JLR Manufacturing suite of systems.
  • Can effectively communicate at all levels within JLR & the Supply base.
  • Demonstrate 100% flexibility / commitment and support in all situations including out-of-hours when necessary.
  • Ideally qualified to degree level, with experience of working in an MP&L or similar environment
  • At least 3 years experience in Automotive industry
