WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Here at Jaguar Land Rover we are pleased to advise of an opportunity for an experienced, Technical Product Owner in our Charging Feature/System and HV Control System Squad.  You will have the chance to work within an Agile framework that spans both Propulsion Controls and Charging/Discharging Groups and act as a product owner with responsibility for the development of System Design of the Charging System and HV Control System. Whilst the role covers current products it does have a focus on next generation battery electric vehicles (BEV) to deliver enhanced charging features for MLA, EMA and the new Jaguars.  We have a significant opportunity to uplift the customer experience in line with market trends with the in-house software in the new integrated battery/charging controls and the EVA25 architecture.

 

Key responsibilities will include:
 

  • An opportunity to own the purpose, vision, and outcome of the team
  • Steer the direction of the teams delivery for business and customer impact decision making 
  • Maximise team value using iterative ways of working (to deliver value quicker and minimise risk)
  • Challenge the status quo whilst not impacting deliverables
  • Ensure there is alignment and coordination with other parties/ groups
  • Establish/Facilitate/Participate in key agile activities across co-located and virtual teams

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED


As the Product Owner for Charging & High Voltage Controls, you’ll hold a formal qualification within engineering or a scientific discipline (or hold equivalent level experience). Hold product ownership lead leadership skills that are revered by others (you are the one people want to work with and for).  You will need to be able to communicate and engage with different personality types across the team. Have a tenacious and confident approach and a challenging mindset to solve comlex and technical procedures.

ESSENTIAL

 

  • Experience working within charging or high voltage systems
  • Posseses a customer first mindset who is easy to do business with, transparent and dependable
  • An effective team player that actively shares learning and upskills with team members
  • Ability to adapt to the demands of high priority work streams in support of engineering delivery priorities
  • Ability to troubleshoot and implement structured problem-solving techniques

 

DESIRABLE
 

  • Experience and knowledge of Agile/Scrum product delivery methodology
  • Experience of project leadership and backlogs in tools such as Confluence and JIRA
  • Experience of building and managing internal and external relationships in complex environments and interested parties
  • Experience and knowledge of market trends in relation to charging and domestic electricity market
  • Prior knowledge/experience of working within the Vehicle Supervisory Control domain (VSC) or Charging system or component teams
