Use your expertise to deliver an exceptional driving experience and push the boundaries of what’s possible. Let’s create an exceptional future together.

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a key part in enabling the next generation of onboard software across multiple ECUs. It’s a chance to flourish, bring your unique talents and maximise your full potential while working in an environment where individuality is celebrated and everyone belongs.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In this role, no two days are the same. You’ll work across the OPSE domain, supporting ECU upgrades, writing components and building automation that helps JLR do things differently. You’ll collaborate with engineers across the business, embrace change and contribute to a culture where curiosity is encouraged and success is recognised.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Build, maintain and enhance DevOps pipelines that support ECU development and deployment across multiple platforms
  • Create and refine Python‑based tooling and scripts to support automated upgrades and component development
  • Work across Linux and Bash environments, supporting secure, scalable and efficient delivery practices
  • Collaborate with engineers across OPSE to eliminate inefficiencies through automation and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to a safe, soulful and fun environment where everyone belongs and ideas are welcomed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that will help you succeed here, including:

  • Hands‑on scripting experience in Python, ideally within a DevOps environment
  • Experience working with Linux or Bash in technical delivery settings
  • Exposure to AutoSAR or embedded software environments
  • Familiarity with AWS or cloud‑based DevOps tooling
  • A growth mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively and embrace new opportunities and experiences

Creating Modern Luxury requires a modern approach to work. At JLR, hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement providing employees more choice and flexibility around how, when and where they work. Some roles require more on-site work, but details of this can be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview stage.

We work hard to nurture a culture that is inclusive and welcoming to all. We understand candidates may require reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process. Please discuss these with your recruiter so we can accommodate your needs.

Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome. If you’re unsure that you meet the full criteria of a role – but you're interested in where it could take you – we still encourage you to apply. We believe in people's ability to grow and develop within their role – it’s what makes living the exceptional with soul possible.
