 What to expect:

 

This is your opportunity to join a team of engineers based in the region responsible for supplier software quality.  On a daily basis you will be responsible for working with internal stakeholders and supplier representatives to ensure Jaguar Land Rover software requirements are met.  You will ensure upfront support from Requirements Management, ensuring traceability through development and the successful delivery of functioning software to production and in the maintenance phase.  You will provide the correct level of support and interaction between Jaguar Land Rover and the supplier, working to ensure the suppliers both have a functioning process for development and adherence to stated processes.  You will assist with issue resolution including onsite support as required at supplier development locations linked to SW development, releasing, and testing.

 

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

 

This role will see you working collaboratively across internal teams incl. Electrical Hardware, Engineering, Quality and Operations.  You will manage stakeholders to ensure objectives and deliverables, and in particular inter-dependencies are understood,aligned and managed to achieve project objectives.   Developing relationships with existing and potential suppliers you will ensure suppliers understand and are qualified to Jaguar Land Rover minimum standards and you will design and implement adequate controls for on-going supplier performance management.  You will agree delivery performance KPIs develop improvement plans, working closely with the Jaguar Land Rover team and supplier.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

 

  • Excellent internal stakeholder management and relationship management skills and experience
  • Able to manage and execute complex projects on time
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse at all levels of the organisation
  • Working knowledge of problem solving/RCA tools such as 8D, FTA
  • Experience of conducting or participating in Audits and assessments
