As a Senior Data Engineer at JLR, you’ll take full ownership of test data, transforming complex inputs into clear insight that shapes decisions. This is your chance to push boundaries, influence how data is used, and grow your expertise in a high-impact, independent role.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You’ll work at the forefront of innovation, turning raw data into meaningful stories that guide engineering and testing teams. With the freedom to shape tools and approaches, you’ll play a central role in improving how data drives quality, risk, and delivery decisions. Here’s what to expect:
- Owning end to end data lifecycle, including collecting, cleaning, analysing and presenting test data to stakeholders
- Designing and delivering dashboards and visual reporting that highlight trends, risks and performance
- Collaborating with test, automation and DevOps teams to ensure consistent and trusted data insights
- Automating data processes and reporting to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
- Influencing decisions by translating complex data into clear, actionable insights

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to help you succeed here, including:
- Proven experience managing data end to end, from extraction through to stakeholder facing insights
- Experience in Python and SQL, with experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or GCP
- Experience creating dashboards using tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Ability to communicate complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Confidence working independently and engaging with senior stakeholders
