What to Expect

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Test Automation Engineer to join our Test Platforms department based from our Software Development Centre of Excellence in Shannon. The main purpose of this role is to support the validation and verification through automation of the components and solutions for a global testing platform.

 

This platform is intended to be used on autonomous vehicles and advanced control systems to class-leading infotainment, cloud-connected features and integration of consumer electronic technologies, not to mention the opportunity to drive advanced prototype vehicles.

 

This is a Fixed Term Contract role for minimum 12 months with the potential to go permanent at the end of the contracted period.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for implementation of effective and scalable application test frameworks.

  • Contribute to the design and development of Software test frameworks to enable the verification and validation of customer facing products.

  • Contribute to the improvement of our test infrastructure and frameworks by building professional tools.

  • Operate in Agile Scrum environment, confidence in speaking publicly.

  • Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum and Sprint Retrospectives.

  • Work within Product Engineering across multiple work groups and sub teams, while helping to develop processes and tools required for Software validation function.


What You'll Need:

Essential

 

  • Extensive experience using test frameworks such as cypress or selenium.

  • Demonstrated experience with test-driven development techniques (BDD, Gherkin).

  • Experience with test management and defect management tool such as JIRA.

  • Experience with Python and Javascript/Typescript programming languages

  • Continuous integration and deployment with exposure to source code management tools such as Git and CI/CD.

  • Experience with programming language such as Java and Python would also be beneficial.

  • Exposure in the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile

  • Proficient in problem solving and debugging.

  • Experience in Performance and API Testing.
