WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The role will involve working closely with our chosen lead logistics provider on the day-to-day operation including collaborating on and supporting the delivery of a number of tactical improvements and step change projects that transforms and improves the current ways of working.

 

The successful candidate will oversee and manage parts of the UK Operation, promoting Customer Love, and working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels within the business. 

 

  • Reviewing metrics and ensuring the right metrics are in place (financial/operational/planning/utilisiation)
  • Ensure all lead logistics providers deliver the agreed contractual technical specifications and meet scorecard KPI targets
  • Supporting budget achievement through efficiency challenge
  • Tracking area specific performance versus budget
  • Operational delivery of the Inbound Freight solution to our customers
  • Proactive approach to ensuring a high quality freight operation (internally and externally)
  • Interface with Linefeed providers

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills you'll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

 

  • Experience of using metrics to drive performance in a fast paced logistics/freight environment
  • Experience of managing service providers to a service level agreement
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Operations working processes
  • Can work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Ability to communicate and influence to a Senior level
  • Stakeholder management - able to build strong relationships at all levels
  • Data analysis, problem solving, and issue resolution skills, Root cause analysis
