We are seeking a highly skilled GME Logistics Lead Solution and Implementation Engineer to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions that drive logistics excellence across our global operations. The successful candidate will be a proactive self starter with the ability to critically review existing processes and quickly absorb new concepts or methodologies. They will apply this understanding to develop new data models or enhance existing ones, clearly demonstrating how proposed changes can improve logistics performance.

 

You will have a strong understanding of automotive manufacturing logistics flows and be able to identify and influence the key levers that drive different performance outcomes across the end to end logistics network. Importantly, you will not only identify opportunities for improvement, but also lead or support the implementation of process and system changes to realise tangible benefits.

 

Working closely with stakeholders across material flow, planning, and logistics operations, you will use data led insights to inform decision making and drive continuous improvement. Your contribution will help ensure our logistics systems and solutions consistently operate at — and are benchmarked against — the highest industry standards.

  • Design, develop, and enhance data models to support evidence based decision making and optimisation of logistics processes. 
  • Partner with operational teams to convert analytical insights into implemented solutions, delivering clear and measurable business outcomes. 
  • Continuously identify and evaluate improvement opportunities within logistics processes, using data modelling to validate change and demonstrate value. 
  • Lead the deployment of designed solutions into production environments, coordinating with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED


Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

 

  • Experience within Supply Chain and Logistics environments.  
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills, with the ability to interpret and model complex datasets within Microsoft excel
  • Experience in process improvement, with a track record of delivering measurable enhancements. 
  • Excellent capability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. 
  • A self starter who works independently, is results driven, and demonstrates resilience, tenacity, and the ability to deliver in a highly demanding environment.
