As a Maintenance Technical Coach, you’ll help shape the future of manufacturing at JLR before production even begins. Working at the forefront of innovation, you’ll influence the design, safety, reliability and performance of new facilities, helping to create world-class environments where people, technology and Modern Luxury come together.

WHAT TO EXPECT


You’ll play a key role in ensuring new production facilities are ready for success from day one. Working closely with engineering teams, vendors and manufacturing colleagues, you’ll help maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime and ensure maintenance requirements are built into every stage of development.


Here’s what to expect:

 

  • Supporting the design, commissioning and buy-off of new production equipment, ensuring maintenance requirements are considered from the outset
  • Participating in equipment procurement activities and collaborating with suppliers to deliver effective maintenance solutions
  • Implementing lessons learned and contributing to FMEA activities to improve equipment reliability and operational performance
  • Reviewing maintenance documentation, safety requirements and spare parts strategies before equipment enters production
  • Building strong working relationships across maintenance, production, safety and engineering teams to achieve shared objectives

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED


Along with a growth mindset and a passion for continuous improvement, there are several skills and experiences that you’ll need to help you succeed here, including:

 

  • Bringing a time-served maintenance background with extensive experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of maintenance practices, performance measures and reliability improvement techniques
  • Applying analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and use data to support better outcomes
  • Communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, while building positive and productive relationships
  • Using Microsoft Office applications confidently, with experience of automotive manufacturing facilities and project environments being advantageous
