This Supply Chain Analyst role helps manage a portfolio of suppliers to ensure we have enough parts for production requirements.  Identifying supply risk (domestic or global) with a view to mitigating where possible. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

 

  • Liaise with suppliers to oversee material delivery in line with JLR’s supply chain scheduling system (timing and quantity)
  • Maintain integrity of the scheduling system data against business and supply base needs
  • Oversee inventory levels for the supply chain against agreed budget targets
  • Timely escalation and co-ordination of emerging supply risks to avoid business impact
  • Drive suppliers and cross functional support areas to deliver supply solutions and recovery activities during distressed supply situations
  • Request stock checks to validate all suspected stock inaccuracies.
  • Ensure appropriate inventory adjustments are made to protect accuracy of the supply chain system schedules
  • Co-ordinate the run out of old/new component levels to support running changes

 

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

It’s key to have a background in inventory / transport or supply chain planning and to have the ability to communicate with confidence highlighting risks when you see them.  You’ll be able to interpret / analyse data to help with supply chain decision making / risk mitigation and to read / produce complex reports.  You’ll also have a logical approach and an eye for details.

 

This is an opportunity for future progression for those who want it and supply process improvement.  

 

Hybrid working is available, however please note that we can only offer working 1 day at week from home

 

Key skills required are:

 

  • Data analytical and investigation skills
  • Relevant experience of material planning and supplies to production within manufacturing / experience of supply chain / inventory planning system/s
  • Ability to maintain and interpret logistics data knowledge and skills with a broad understanding of the interfaces into vehicle platforms and plants
