JOB TITLE: Propulsion System Integration Lead Engr
LINE MANAGER: Mustafa Ozcelik
The successful candidate for the above role will retain their current employer, i.e. if you are a Jaguar employee you will continue to be administered on the Jaguar grading structure with the associated terms and conditions. If you are currently on BAC or EMC terms, you will retain your current employer but will transfer to a JLR contract and the associated terms and conditions. 



This is an opportunity to join our exciting Propulsion system engineering team within Jaguar Land Rover. This is where you will play a key role in delivering and integrating the complete propulsion system - capable of meeting the needs of high performance, high efficiency luxury vehicles. A successful candidate will have interactions with key areas of the core Propulsion team as well as engineering service providers to ensure successful system delivery is kept to scheduled time.

You will evaluate system design concepts and maintain integrity between system and its components to arrive at a harmonised solution. You will become the voice of the customer in key system attributes - including efficiency, performance, charging experience, weight management, making sure consistency across various teams is maintained at the highest customer and system level.




As a Propulsion System Integration Lead Engineer at Jaguar Land Rover, you will need to be able to create and maintain System Integration Plans such as component, software, rigs and vehicle testing - this will be to ensure full system development and validation fulfils vehicle timings. You will need to provide technical lead and support on topics relating to the integration and harmonisation of interconnected systems / sub-systems, including issue resolution and objective data analysis.


As this is a new team and supporting functions take shape, responsibilities will evolve. Therefore, flexibility and adaptability are key in order to achieve the best vehicles together with the best business plan.




  • Strong knowledge of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance across a range of stakeholders
  • Experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
  •  Enthusiasm for cars and the driving experience for themselves and purchasing customers
  • Requirements management
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Full Driving Licence




  • Geometry Integration experience
  • Electric vehicle development experience with a strong understanding of electric drive units, batteries, thermal systems and their control strategies
  • Experience in reporting to senior leadership group
  • Supplier Management experience
  • Working in an Agile or Scrum methodology
