The Opportunity
 

The Vehicle Personalisation department is looking for a dynamic Subject Matter Expert to drive the strategy and delivery of Exterior commodities, primarily on Commercial, Bespoke and Limited Edition vehicles. The role involves working with cross functional areas like Marketing, Design, Core Engineering, Programme and Finance to develop innovative solutions in a diverse project landscape.

  

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

  • Ownship of Commodity Strategy Documentation
  • Authoring of Bills of Design
  • FDFMEA Management
  • Competitor Benchmarking
  • Cost Database Generation and Management
  • Authoring and Maintenance of Standards, Design Rules etc
  • Pre-PS support in content definition
  • Supporting Lead Engineers through delivery  activities
  • Concept feasibility study
  • Supporting Lead Engineers in getting enablers on vehice
  • Checking PDS and RFQ documents created by lead engineer for supplier nomination
  • Supporting the GSP process to nominate suppliers up to SBR2
  • New supplier benchmarking and identification

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Experience of delivering and developing products through a cross-functional team
  • Technical expertise in injection moulding, paint processes, adhesives
  • Experience of project engineering within the automotive industry
  • Experience of budget and target management
  • Degree or relevant equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of authoring formal documentation
