WHAT TO EXPECT
In this role, every day brings something new. You’ll explore fresh challenges, learn from the brightest minds and help ensure our electric and hybrid products meet exceptional quality standards. This role will require you to travel to different sites but you will mainly be based at the Wolverhampton site where your main work will be working with suppliers to get the new battery lines installed. It will be a mix of hands on work and also time spent documenting the progress so the ideal candidate will have experience in both areas. Your hands on experience will ideally have come from working with vision systems, DC tools, Automation cells, Fault finding and any previous battery experience would be highly desired. Here’s what else to expect:
- You will utilise your knowledge to develop and implement assembly and in-process and facilities to deliver the safety, quality delivery and cost objectives
- Detailed planning, development and implementation of installation timing plans with key suppliers
- Ensure robust process planning including build simulations and PFMEA’s.
- Support assembly process strategy for manufacturing.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
There are several skills that will help you succeed here, including:
- Ability to use CAD packages to review engineering drawings and models (Catia V6 & Teamcentre etc)
- Previous experience of Manufacturing / Engineering processes, tools and techniques
- Ability to work within cross-functional teams and flexibility to support projects from early concepts to Launch.
- Experience of facility installation, project management, capability validation, commissioning and product launch.
- Hands on approach to engineering
