WHAT TO EXPECT
 

Develop and deliver a set of key high voltage (HV) Controls and operating mode functions, including shaping the strategy for the development of control functions within the department. This role will provide technical leadership to deliver core functions and to embed best practice in everything we do by developing methods, processes and tools. Timely delivery of efficient and adequate control functions to achieve the required attribute vehicle targets. High quality documentation and demonstrable adherence to local and industry standard processes (e.g. ASPICE)
 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development of high voltage (HV) Controls and operating mode functions including future vision, architecture development, delivery of model-based design, test methods and documentation.  
  • Lead the testing of the SW components within the MATLAB MIL environment to deliver high quality models to the SW team.
  • Lead resolution of issues within key high voltage (HV) Controls and operating mode functions to ensure robust launch of products and respond to the feedback from the calibration team.
  • Contribute to the development of tools and methodologies to support the development of supervisory control systems
     

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As the Function Developer Lead, you will have good relevant experience of working in Powertrain controls and software. Previous experience of working in a controls and calibration position in modelling complex systems, ideally vehicle and/or Powertrain systems. To hold a formal qualification such as degree within Software, Controls, Systems engineering or within a similar subject.

ESSENTIAL

  • MIL/SIL Testing in MATLAB
  • Experience in developing control systems using MATLAB/ Simulink and Embedded coder
  • Should have good understanding of AUTOSAR architecture and working experience in configuring Simulink models to AUTOSAR compatible

DESIRABLE

  • Requirements management in IBM DOORS and Dassault TRM. Task Management in RTC and JIRA
  • Experience of INCA and MDA, Vehicle networks, Logging and debugging on vehicles and rigs
  • Delivery of Engineering and or analytical projects preferably within the automotive industry
