JOB TITLE: Product Owner (E-commerce Subscriptions)
SALARY: £40,000 - £45,000

This is a critical role within the New Business Models team supporting the E-commerce Product Manager who are together responsible for developing eCommerce subscription store shopping experience.

The role is focussed on delivering best in class eCommerce connected product and services renewal capability across all markets with vehicle connected services. This role is responsible for the delivery of the global rollout of capability whilst also aligning to Jaguar Land Rover direct to consumer strategy strengthening brand positioning and revenue targets. In addition to this, they will provide in life support to the markets where capability has been launched, assessing various ways to enhance performance, drive additional revenue and sales optimisation initiatives.  This role will also play a key part in transforming our current renewal capability into a class leading subscription storefront for our Features Over the Air programme.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Daily management of external suppliers and delivery teams (single point of contact) to deliver ecommerce renewal capability as per the plan
  • Customer sales and renewals site performance reporting
  • Roadmap delivery - development of customer experience use cases and requirements ensuring this is industry leading
  • Maintain governance against the programme ensuring that all relevant forums are successfully prepared and passed whilst ensuring they are managed against plan. Inclusive will be ownership of the RAID log ensuring the teams are regularly monitoring and tracking key programme points
  • Market roll out – working with suppliers and delivery teams to roll capability out to new markets & post launch hypercare with all newly live markets and newly live products
  • Market & Regional support - Supporting the eCommerce shopping capability (delivery of subscription renewal capability) in various markets assessing viability and business benefit
  • Capability & Market roll out – Business Process readiness, Customer Service Processes, Finance Readiness processes, GDPR Readiness, Legal Readiness
  • In-life operations – Business Process support, Customer Service support, Finance support, Legal updates where required
  • In-life operations – issue resolution and mitigation planning
  • Conduct analysis to support business cases on new eCommerce solutions to determine business benefit
  • Budget and spend tracking - Track eCommerce project delivery against the delivery project / programme plans
  • Stakeholder engagement regarding all new products, market rollouts and in life management
  • Identification of quick win opportunities, trading initiatives and performance development
  • Input into our Subscription Store transformation plans including market research, competitor benchmarking & trends
  • Delivery to our Subscription Store transformation plans, supporting launch of our Features Over the Air programme
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time


Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • Project management expertise
  • Management of external suppliers and delivery teams
  • eCommerce expertise
  • Customer experiences use case and requirement definition
  • Sales performance reporting and analysis
  • Digital channel ownership
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends and voice of customer


  • Understanding of JLR’s service offering, Features over the Air and associated products
  • Understanding of the subscription business industry & subscription product experience
  • Previous experience of working in the automotive sector/eCommerce/Online Digital Products
  • Previous experience of project management
  • Magento application experience
  • Salesforce Platform and/or Commerce cloud experience
  • Demonstrated experience with analysis, performance reporting, customer first behaviours
  • A related degree is an advantage but not mandatory
  • The ideal candidate is likely to have prior experience in eCommerce/Project Management
