WHAT TO EXPECT
This role requires extensive interaction across the whole Jaguar Land Rover global supplier network to ensure the correct level of financial recompense is identified and secured for Jaguar Land Rover. The role focuses on enhancing the suppliers test capability through continuous improvements and positive challenge in the areas of root cause investigation. In parallel, this will enable the proportional liability & acceptance leading to the commercial negotiation and settlement of an increasing number of agreements, on an ongoing daily / quarterly basis. The role requires your ownership for the continual governance of the supplier’s performance, their non-conformance, deviation and possible escalation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for the delivery of the Warranty Recovery Corporate Recovery Target by managing the day-to-day activity, and you’ll lead the review of the supplier's performance, processes & procedures, their applications & suitability to determine their correct levels of responsibility. You will assist the UK end to end parts returns process ensuring compliance and control and drive & support route cause analysis, containment & corrective action activity with the CoC, Suppliers & other cross functional teams. You will have ethe responsibility of Reviewing supplier testing results and act accordingly to maximise recovery opportunities, through Bench Top Studies, Data Mining, Video testing, R&D Coding alignment.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Essential:

Ability to travel at short notice if required.

Ability to travel overseas as and when required (Ad Hoc)

A confident individual with the ability to understand and clearly communicate technical matters

Background in the Automotive Industry (Qualified vehicle technician or similar)

Recent up to date technical knowledge of vehicle systems, their interaction, purpose and effect on each other.

Some demonstrable experience with some or all of PD, PVT, Technical Centres, Manufacturing, STA, Marketing Sales & Service.

Knowledge of root cause analysis, its tools and techniques (8D / DMAIC) with experience of trouble shooting & diagnostics.

Full UK Driver's License
Desirable:

City & Guilds L3 (or Similar)

Experience of JLR warranty processes and systems

Green Belt certification or similar.
