As a Gauge Cal CMM Technician here at JLR, you will be skilled in maintaining precision equipment and passionate about ensuring top-tier quality in manufacturing. You will join the team at JLR’s Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC) in Wolverhampton, where you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing mechanical gauges, CMMs, and other measurement/test equipment that drive our cutting-edge machining and assembly processes.

- Maintain and repair gauges to ensure efficient operation and compliance with TS16949 standards
- Monitor and audit CMM functions, keeping operations running smoothly
- Collaborate with plant quality and engineering teams to resolve customer complaints and implement improvements
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective repairs to minimise downtime
- Support metrology and calibration activities, ensuring all products meet the highest standards
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Indentured apprenticeship or level 3 NVQ or equivalent
- Problem Solving Techniques - Root cause analysis. Good Fault-Finding Skills
- Ability to make decisions quickly, sometimes in demanding situations.
- Machining / Toolroom OR Metrology Experience
- Experience writing/improving CMM programming for calibration/verification
