We have an exciting opportunity to join the Machining Maintenance team at EPMC Wolverhampton, leading a team of 8 Maintenance Technicians across Block, Head and Crank machining lines. Working alongside two Maintenance Process Leaders, this role offers strong exposure to senior leadership and is ideal for someone looking to demonstrate technical expertise, people leadership, structured problem solving and data-driven performance management through regular senior-level reviews.
WHAT TO EXPECT
In this role, you will take accountability for leading machining maintenance performance across multiple production lines, developing and engaging your team, and delivering safe, reliable and efficient manufacturing operations. Here’s what to expect.
- Lead proactive maintenance strategies (PPM/PdM) to maximise uptime and performance.
- Manage people, capability, safety and wellbeing within a safe system of work.
- Own assets, history, systems and budgets using SAP and maintenance tools.
- Drive root cause analysis, continuous improvement and audit readiness (PQ, CQ, External).
- Collaborate with production, R&M, vendors and contractors to deliver shared objectives.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Proven maintenance leadership experience within machining or manufacturing.
- Strong people leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
- NVQ Level 3 (minimum) in Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
- Confident user of SAP and modern maintenance technologies.
- Experience with Lean systems, safety standards and compliance.
