JLR’s Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our growing Electrification function.

This is a newly created role with responsibility for leading quality across our assembly lines. You’ll work in a fast paced, high performing environment, taking a hands on leadership approach to problem solving, quality governance and continuous improvement.

Working closely with the Plant Quality team and reporting to Production Managers, the role blends proactive quality leadership with reactive issue resolution, playing a key role in shaping quality performance as our electrification capability expands.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Drive compliance with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and the effective application of QMS across assembly lines
  • Lead resolution of escalated assembly quality issues, driving root cause analysis and robust corrective actions
  • Champion proactive risk management, identifying and mitigating quality risks within operations
  • Coach and mentor teams to strengthen problem solving capability and embed a culture of continuous improvement
  • Lead quality audits, improvement projects and performance reporting to deliver measurable gains


WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

  • Significant experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem solving expertise using 8D, DMAIC, FTA and PDCA methodologies
  • In depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems aligned to IATF 16949
  • High capability in data analysis, reporting and performance management
  • Confident leader with the ability to influence, challenge and engage at all levels
