WHAT TO EXPECT
Within the three shift working pattern, this role combines people leadership with operational performance. You’ll guide Process Leaders, Team Leaders and Associates, helping them achieve ambitious goals while championing a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability.
You’ll be trusted to make decisions, solve challenges and influence positive change across the operation. Here’s what to expect:
- Leading and developing manufacturing teams to deliver targets across safety, quality, delivery, cost, people and environment
- Championing continuous improvement initiatives, workplace organisation standards and operational roadmaps that enhance performance
- Reviewing operational data, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing actions that improve efficiency and productivity
- Supporting workforce planning, capability development and training programmes to help teams maximise their full potential
- Collaborating with engineering, maintenance and production stakeholders to remove constraints, solve problems and improve process flow
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Demonstrating experience of leading large teams within a manufacturing, production or operational environment
- Applying knowledge of health and safety processes, safe systems of work and operational best practice
- Interpreting performance data and using structured problem-solving techniques to deliver improvements
- Building effective relationships, communicating clearly and coaching others to achieve shared objectives
- Showing experience of continuous improvement tools, production metrics and quality management systems
- Technical Machining experience
