WHAT TO EXPECT
The main purpose of this role is the coordination production and shipping from EPMC whilst maintaining inventory levels at an optimum level. This role is primarily responsible for managing the production schedules and coordination of the transportation of components and / or finished products both Domestic and internationally to customers across the world to ensure product is received in line with build requirements.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Support and contribute to volume production at EPMC by scheduling production requirements for production lines to ensure delivery of operational targets in line with customer requirements
- Plant & pipeline inventory management, to support daily build requirements and maintain production smoothing
- Manage stock effectively versus capacity constraints, respond to changes in requirements and re-align volumes to meet targets
- Support the coordination of the shipping function to ensure customers receive product in line with their requirements
- Ensure maintenance of accurate records management and stock control to maintain robust data integrity for schedule planning, and that SAP is accurate
- Interface with support departments (including Manufacturing, Quality and central Material Planning and Logistics functions) to ensure requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner
- Interface with receiving locations and JLR Fleet to agree dock slots, optimising trailer utilization and monitoring on-time collection performance
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Understanding of Manufacturing production methods
- Ability to quickly understand and challenge Logistics processes
- Competency in MS Excel required
- Good problem solving techniques and understanding of lean manufacturing principals
- Demonstrate 100% flexibility to support operational needs
- Work plant recognised shifts if required
- Communicate effectively across JLR functional boundaries/organisational levels
