As a Welding Process Engineer, you’ll help bring cutting-edge battery and electric drive systems to life. Working at the forefront of innovation, you’ll refine processes, elevate manufacturing standards, and build expertise that will accelerate both your growth and our shared future.


WHAT TO EXPECT

With a strong focus on electrification and Modern Luxury, this role connects you with experienced teams across manufacturing, product development, and quality to deliver meaningful impact.

 

  • Developing and optimising welding processes across battery, EDU and sub-assembly manufacturing to ensure quality and repeatability
  • Leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to resolve welding-related issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Creating and maintaining welding standards, procedures and validation plans to support new product introduction and production
  • Supporting weld inspection strategies, including destructive and non-destructive testing, ensuring compliance and product integrity
  • Collaborating across engineering, operations and quality teams to deliver robust, high-performing manufacturing solutions

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED


Along with your ambition to push boundaries and embrace change, there are several skills and experiences you’ll need to succeed here, including:

 

  • Demonstrating strong expertise in welding processes such as MIG, TIG, resistance spot and laser welding within a manufacturing environment
  • Applying knowledge of automated and robotic welding systems and understanding of welding metallurgy, defects and inspection methods
  • Understanding quality tools and standards such as PFMEA, control plans and relevant ISO or industry compliance frameworks
  • Interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T and CAD data to support process development and validation
  • Holding a degree in Engineering, Materials Science or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience, with professional welding qualifications advantageous
