Reporting to the Variable Marketing Manager, the Senior Variable Marketing Finance Analyst will serve as a key finance business partner supporting the development, launch, execution, and financial management of vehicle incentive programs. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional coordination with Sales, Retail Operations, Product Planning, and Financial Services to successfully bring incentive programs to market while ensuring financial commitments are achieved.

 

The Senior Analyst will provide financial leadership in evaluating program effectiveness, managing incentive spend, supporting forecasting activities, and delivering data-driven insights to influence pricing and incentive strategy. This role will also play a critical role in scenario planning and ad hoc analyses to support business decisions in a dynamic automotive marketplace.

 

In this role, no two tasks are the same. With multiple projects and relationships across the business, you will have the opportunity to influence commercial decisions while developing a broad understanding of sales, pricing, incentives, financial services, and accounting operations.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the planning, launch, and execution of quarterly and ad hoc incentive programs in partnership with Sales, Retail Operations, Marketing, and Financial Services teams.
  • Serve as the primary Finance contact for incentive programs, ensuring effective implementation and readiness across systems, dealers, and sales channels.
  • Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases to support incentive strategies and management decision-making.
  • Manage incentive program budgets, cash-up processes, forecasts, and variable marketing expense reporting.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor incentives, interest rates, residual values, and sales performance to inform pricing and program recommendations.
  • Analyze program effectiveness, identify opportunities for optimization, and provide data-driven recommendations to improve results and spending efficiency.
  • Lead financial close activities, reserve adequacy reviews, reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and compliance reporting.
  • Drive process improvements, enhance reporting capabilities, improve forecast accuracy, and support additional finance and analytical initiatives as needed.

 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or related finance functions.
  • Experience supporting automotive sales, marketing, pricing, incentive programs, or commercial finance activities preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, scenario planning, and business case development capabilities.
  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise financial systems preferred.
  • Automotive industry experience, including incentive programs, lease/APR subvention, pricing analytics, or residual value analysis, strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, reporting, and large dataset analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to deliver actionable insights, maintain financial accuracy, and drive process improvements.

 

 

Schedule: Hybrid Ways of Working (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - office days; Wednesday and Friday - choice days)

 

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus in addition to a full range of medical/health, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick/personal, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position”.
