If you progress to the next stage we’ll ask you to complete a series of short online tests which you will complete independently. The next stage is the virtual assessment centre. This consists of a presentation exercise and behavioural interview. You’ll be provided with a preparation guide to help you at this final stage.

We’ll share the outcome of your assessment centre within 2 weeks of you completing it. If you are successful, we’ll make you a verbal offer and confirm this in writing via email.

When do applications open?

Our applications open in stages across late September / early October. Please check the individual programme page(s) you are interested in for full details of application opening dates.

When do applications close?

Applications for our undergraduate programmes are due to close in stages (programme dependant) across the end of October and end of November. Please check the individual programme page(s) you are interested in for full details of application opening dates. Also, be aware that whilst we may give a guide to the closing date, our programmes may close at any point if they are oversubscribed based on the volume of applications. To give yourself the best chance of being considered for a place, please apply early.

Am I allowed to make more than one application?

No, you can only apply once during our recruitment cycle. However, if we feel there is a more suitable programme for you, we'll get in touch through the application process.

I completed my studies some time ago, can I still apply?

You must be in your penultimate year at university to apply for our undergraduate programmes. We do also have experienced hire roles available that may be of interest, our careers website is updated regularly.

If I am successful in my application, when will I join? What happens if I am away on the day I am due to start?

Our undergraduates join the programme each year at the beginning of July. You should ensure that you are available to start on your set day with us, however if you foresee this being a problem, please contact us as soon as possible.

How can I check the progress of my application?

You can check the progress by logging in to your candidate profile and going to the 'my jobs' section to check the progress.

Do I need work experience to apply for an early careers programme?

No, prior experience is not a requirement of our early career’s programmes - they are designed to be entry level routes. Bring your academic knowledge and skills, we’ll support your training and development.

What are the business values and behaviours that I will be assessed against?

We have a set of business behaviours at JLR which we call the 'Creators Code'. These are a set of co-created behaviours to inspire understanding and collaboration. The five behaviours covered by the code are; customer love, unity, integrity, growth and impact. We will look for these in our recruitment process and therefore recommend that you read more about our purpose here.

If I change my mind and decide to take a year out, can I defer my offer?
