An opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Maintenance Associate to join our Paint Operations Maintenance team. This position will see a specific focus around providing electrical support to maximise production efficiencies and maintain all associated plant equipment whilst being responsible for first line response to requests, issues with equipment or processes. As the successful Maintenance Associate, you will be responsible for the day to day maintenance of all equipment and processes within the paint shop department. You will be responsible for the first line response to requests, issues with equipment or processes that may arise within your work area.  


Specifically, you will see a direct focus around: 


•    First response to breakdowns and their control to deliver minimal down time using safe working practices
•    Carry out weekend / shutdown work, deliver projects as required
•    Use of PLC's with at least Ladder logic understanding
•    Knowledge of various types of motor drives, AC, DC, Inverters
•    Thorough knowledge of various fault-finding methodologies
•    Understanding of robot design and operation
•    Ability to read and cross reference within electrical drawings




As the successful Maintenance Associate you will be able to demonstrate an ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team using cross functional skills, such as a logical and disciplined approach to safety, breakdown control and installation work. You will also be able to demonstrate a knowledge and experience of managing shutdowns, project installation and parts ordering. Plus, the ability to carry out departmental procedures and associated paperwork. 


As well as the above you will be able to demonstrate experience with the following: 

•    Previous experience in a similar role in maintenance operations in Manufacturing 
•    Technical (mechanical and electrical) automotive engineering skills gained in Manufacturing 
•    Knowledge of PLC / Electrical Control / Mechanical Systems
•    Relevant indentured or advanced modern apprenticeship 
•    Maintenance background 
•    Knowledge of plc / electrical control / mechanical systems
•    Relevant degree/apprenticeship
