JOB TITLE: EDU Integration Lead Engineer
SALARY: £41,400 - £54,700 + Additions & Benefits

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Electric Drive Unit is key in Jaguar Land Rover’s electrification strategy.

 

The EDU Integration team is responsible for the delivery of the in-house manufactured Electric Drive Units assembly, ensuring that it meets our requirements to deliver an experience that our customers will be proud of. 

 

The EDU Integration Lead Engineer will be a key role in the development of our EDUs and this an exciting opportunity to work on the electrified driveline and help shape the future of electrification.

 

Key Performance Indicators

 

  • Compliance of EDU part marking to specific market legislations
  • Delivery of labels and fasteners
  • Compilation of engineering specification
  • Compilation and documentation of EDU Service requirements

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

Labels Release

 

  • Design and release responsibility for EDU Labels

 

Part Marking

 

  • Definition of part marking on fully assembled units
  • Consolidate all part marking information
  • Ownership of EDU traceability

 

Fixings Release

 

  • Consolidate fixings robustness checks for standard fixings

 

Service and Remanufacturing Requirements

 

  • Define the service Bill of Material for the EDU
  • Agree to service procedures with the relevant stakeholders
  • Agree to the EDU remanufacturing strategy with the relevant stakeholders

 

Technical Documentation Coordination

 

  • Compilation of engineering specifications for the EDU
  • Manufacturing end-of-line test specification compilation
  • EDU Interface brochure

 

Weight Management

 

  • Define weight target for component subsystems
  • Manage risk and opportunities to ensure compliance with the system target

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

Essential – 

 

  • Previous experience in managing resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment
  • A good working knowledge of product creation & delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes 
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred   

 

Desirable – 

 

  • Previous experience with the development of BEV driveline systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills
  • Experience with vehicle engineering packaging requirements
  • Experience with service procedures on driveline systems
  • Experience in Agile project delivery
