WHAT TO EXPECT 
A new opportunity has arisen for an experience Global Warehouse Project Manager to join our growing team. You’ll be a part of the Supply Chain Management Organisation within Global Customer Services. The Supply Chain Management organisation is responsible for the end-to-end Parts & Accessories supply chain, from parts release through to last mile deliveries to the global Land Rover and Jaguar sales network.


As Global Warehouse Project Manager you will report directly to the Director, Global Parts Operations and will be responsible for the development  and execution of major projects key to the ongoing transformation of the global parts warehouse network, including handover of stable operations to the Business as Usual (BAU) team.  In addition, you’ll be responsible for implementation of any agreed automation solutions, ensuring full integration with the operational flows and delivery of the business case benefits.


You’ll also: 

  • Deliver mid to long term strategic planning of major warehouse projects. 
  • Actively monitor changes to the commercial or operational environment to adjust strategic plans
  • Create a compelling business case to justify proposed major warehouse projects, through active collaboration with the appropriate cross functional teams
  • Development of detailed transition and implementation plans with the selected 3PL(s) and central teams, for the transition to the agreed new warehouse network.
  • Manage, monitor and motivate project SME resource ensuring that the business requirements are effectively delivered, on time and to budget, for all workstreams
  • Support the delivery of required project documentation on time and to the required standards 
  • Develop of standard tools, documentation and project templates for the transition elements that may be applied in other transitions;
  • Required to travel across internal and external sites (some international travel will be required)

 

WHAT TO YOU’LL NEED 
To be successful in this role, you’ll possess strong project management skills with the ability to manage a high profile workstream in this key global transformational programme. 


You’ll be a strategic thinker, with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels with a natural ability to influence others and move towards a common vision or goal. You’ll have demonstrable experience in delivering cost reductions and / or service improvements in a similar fast-moving operational environment.  

You’ll also: 

  • Project Management / Supply Chain experience delivering key supply chain implementations against a background of growth.
  • Possess strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Experience of Prince 2, MSP or equivalent 
  • Experience of working with SAP
  • Methodical and Process Driven
  • Strong project management skills - ability to present, make recommendations and defend position based on data - quantitative and qualitative.
  •  A good working knowledge of key areas within the supply chain & logistics business
