Without it, our business simply cannot evolve.  The solutions to Problems you deliver will ensure the stability of all the IT systems required to enable Jaguar Land Rover to manufacture, sell and deliver quality vehicles our customers demand.

 

The IT Problem Manager will govern our problem and known error framework. You’ll take ownership of issues; ensuring they are diagnosed, logged, prioritised, reported and escalated (where appropriate), so a quality conclusion can be achieved for all problems.

 

Engaging with our offshore and onshore partners, you’ll make sure they are delivering the support required during and after incidents and that they own and deliver proactive initiatives that support the tactical and strategic evolution of the Problem Management Process. You’ll also deliver  Continuous Service Improvement initiatives, to minimise the future service impact of any IT incident.

 

You will:

  • Govern the problem and known error management framework.
  • Be accountable for attending post incident reviews and overseeing corrective action plans to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Provide Senior Management with insight into problem and known error management processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimise service impact of any IT incident or outage
  • Ensuring suppliers support the tactical and strategic evolution of IT Service Operations, by defining, owning and delivering proactive initiatives.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Alongside previous industry experience of governing key ITIL processes in a large multi-vendor organisation, you’ll also have a background within an Incident, Change and Problem function. You’ll be ITIL v3 foundation qualified; and we’d prefer it if you were also ITIL Service Operations and Service Transition qualified and held a degree in any subject.

 

With experience of working in a large or global organisation, preferably within production, manufacturing or IT, you’ll be able to handle multiple workstreams  with ease. Output-driven and practical, you’ll be a serial problem solver with excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. All of this will mean you’re able to identify and deliver proactive initiatives which create value.
