What To Expect

 

At JLR, the Assisted & Automated Driving Feature & Systems Team are responsible from design to delivery of the customer products that are shaping JLR’s automated driving future. The team are working with industry leading partners to develop cutting edge solutions that will enable our customers to live simpler and safer in a new era of modern luxury.

 

As part of the team, you can expect to be part of an agile team, collaborating with colleagues from a diverse range of backgrounds across the globe. Working together to creatively solve problems and think outside of the box.

 

The role includes the opportunity to design and define the way in which Assisted and Automated Driving features can support our customers in their everyday journeys. Solving customer problems and enhancing their experience whist using our vehicles with driving aids, safety features, driver assistance and automation of driving related tasks.

 

The role will help you develop your customer focussed mindset to objectively assess customer behaviour. Using data to create innovative customer experiences and write quality customer requirements.

 

What You Be Accountable For

 

You will have the opportunity to have ownership of the customer experience for a feature. Creating and formalizing the feature definition using a range of methods and techniques including modelling and simulation, data analysis, user trials, experiments & customer feedback.

 

Benchmarking of competitor features to ensure Jaguar Land Rover remains competitive in the field of assisted and automated driving.

 

Work with our global teams to understand how our customers around the world experience our products differently and face different challenges.

 

What You Will Need

 

  • A potential candidate should be enthusiastic and a long-term strategic thinker, with the passion to deliver ultimate quality and refinement.
  • Knowledge and experience of Assisted and Automated Driving.
  • Hold a formal qualification such as degree within Systems Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or other STEM relevant subject.
  • Comfortable communicator and the ability to present technical ideas and issues to all levels of the company.
  • The ability to collaborate and work well with others who bring a different perspective.

 

Additional Nice To Haves

 

  • Knowledge of Simulation SW such as (CarSim, Unreal, CarMaker, DriveSim)
  • Structured Problem Solving Techniques such as Six Sigma
  • Working Experience of Agile Methods
  • Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Knowledge of regulations and safety standards such as Euro NCAP, FMVSS
  • Knowledge of good requirements writing and management
