WHAT TO EXPECT

 

In this role you will develop and deliver a set of key Propulsive Torque software functions, shaping the strategy for the development of control functions within the department. You will provide technical leadership to deliver core Vehicle Supervisory Controller functions, and to embed best practice in everything we do by developing methods, processes and tools.

 

You will be responsible for the timely delivery of efficient and robust control functions to achieve the required attribute vehicle targets, producing high quality documentation and adhering to local and industry standard processes (e.g. ASPICE, ISO26262).

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

In this position you will lead the development of key Torque Management functions including future vision, architecture development, delivery of model-based design, test methods and documentation. 

Further responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Lead the testing of the SW components within the MATLAB MIL environment to deliver high quality models to the SW team.

  • Contribute to the development of tools and methodologies to support the development of supervisory control systems.

  • Lead resolution of issues within key Torque Management functions to ensure robust launch of products and respond to the feedback from the calibration team.

  • Mentor and coach other members of the team to help build a world class capability in control system development.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

We are looking for someone that possesses extensive experience in powertrain controls and software with a proven track record in the delivery of Engineering and analytical projects. You will be someone that has experience in requirements management and system modelling, as well as a strong knowledge of version control and task management software.

 

Essential:

  • Knowledge of Powertrain controls and software

  • Experience of delivering complex supervisory systems, ideally vehicle and/or Powertrain systems

  • Experience in developing control systems using MATLAB/Simulink

  • Experience of MIL/SIL testing in MATLAB

  • Understanding of AUTOSAR architecture and working experience in configuring Simulink models to be AUTOSAR compatible
