WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The Power Architecture team requires a Power Systems Engineer who will play an integral role in the development of our design systems and challenge existing thinking in a positive way to deliver low voltage (LV) power systems for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. Your role will require your judgement on verification and validation for 12 V power systems to create the best improvement of our vehicles. Jaguar Land Rover is going through a period of futuristic development and Power Architecture is an integral part to the rapid growth of our company vision.

 

As part of the Power Architecture team, you will be at the for-front of the development of our vehicle’s electrical capabilities. You will be tasked to communicate complex technical concepts, data and conclusions, applying your knowledge and experience to help shape our current and future systems. You’ll be a part of a high-level team tasked with the design, verification, and validation of low voltage systems, working together to best strive for the overall improvement of our Jaguar Land Rover Cars.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Your primary responsibilities will involve the design and development of new LV power system architectures. You will be involved with the creation and documentation of power system requirements, test cases and test procedures. Ensuring compliance with Regulations and Standards (internal and external), to deliver all requirements while concurrently being an effective team player who actively develops and supports team members and responds constructively to new ideas and inputs.

 

You will be expected to effectively communicate your knowledge of electronic design systems. A technical understanding of circuit diagrams and the overall architecture of power systems is highly desirable, as the ideal candidate will be tasked to explore potential problems that may arise and how to resolve them.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

 

Essential

  • Technical knowledge and experience of 12 V LV power system design and/or validation and verifiaction

  • Experience of system-level and component-level issue resolution

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts, data and conclusions within the team and to stakeholders

  • Understanding of ISO 26262 and ability to impliment it

  • Knowledge and understanding of systems engineering principles (MBSE & SysML)

 

Desirable

  • Electrical or electronics engineering degree (or equivalent)

  • Experience of Agile working (Product Owner, Scrum Master or Developer)

  • Requirements Management using DOORS/TRM

  • Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink

  • Proficient in CATIA Magic (MBSE)
