WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Salesforce is a key technology component supporting several digital transformation initiatives that will enable JLR’s digital backbone. To recognise the importance of Salesforce, JLR Digital has taken the opportunity to build a brand-new Centre of Excellence dedicated to ensuring all capabilities relating to Salesforce are managed through a single organisation.

 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a leadership role in helping JLR business to understand and assure any Salesforce technical solutions whilst leading other Technical Architects to ensure that the customer/user goals are central in both the project design and execution. 

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

 

  • Actively engage and lead strategic engagements, both technical and business focused to build winning, differentiated Salesforce capabilities and value within JLR
  • Work with other members of the JLR Salesforce CoE and wider teams to determine plans and execute on  the best strategy
  • Articulate the benefits of JLR’s Salesforce cloud based architecture to stakeholders as they look to transform their business
  • Expertly present Salesforce technology, application development, infrastructure, security and integration capabilities and how they can be leveraged to optimise the outcome for user/customer
  • Build and present customized demos with other members of the team to highlight technical capabilities and innovation available on the Salesforce platform – rapid visual prototyping
  • Manage and implement the agreed Salesforce Org Strategy for JLR, and obtain, buy- in from stakeholders
  • Accountable for the definition, creation and maintenance of the Salesforce Reference Architecture
  • Chair the JLR Salesforce Architectural Design Authority (ADA)
  • Develop a good understanding of the opportunities for further innovation using Salesforce capabilities across the JLR Enterprise
  • Mentor and coach other team members e.g. Technical Architects where necessary

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Exceptional hands-on track-record of software development where service quality & security is a priority

  • In-depth knowledge of the Salesforce eco system and how they can be configured, business capabilities and development

  • Coaching mindset – to be able to explore and challenge stakeholders positively

  • Proven internal/external stakeholder management ability

  • Demonstrable ability to successfully interact with and influence senior stakeholders

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a commercial, pragmatic and entrepreneurial environment where pace and execution are a pre-requisite

  • An individual who can apply methodical rigour to complex tasks, collaborate across functions and combine a short-term, pragmatic focus with a strategic vision across the organisation to achieve the required outcome

This role may offer the opportunity for hybrid working where you can split your time between working from home and in the office.
