WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Supporting the Vehicle Programme Management Office (V-PMO) in applying Project Governance processes, specifically Risk and Impediment management, and the supporting tools to achieve project targets and business imperatives with robust, efficient and consistent delivery of the vehicle projects.
To coach and mentor the project teams, specifically the designated risk co-ordinators, to ensure they operate in accordance to the Risk processes and deploy best practice and behaviours while taking advantage of the programme stakeholders’ expertise and knowledge base.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Managing the continual evolution of the Risk Management processes within vehicle programmes
  • Maintaining a robust Risk governance through an organised cadence of meetings and regularly published reports
  • Liaising at senior leadership/key stakeholder level to resolve any unease surrounding risk management
  • Training the programme constituents in Risk and Impediment Management; facilitating training sessions, producing and then delivering training materials 
  • Presenting Risk Management at internal and external audits (including IATF)
  • Support the continued growth of the department and its work to enable the development of project management throughout JLR

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

Essential:

 

  • Previous experience related to risk management within new product development within automotive, aerospace, defence or similar industries.
  • Knowledge of Project / Programme Management tools and methodologies
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrable skills of process management tools (Visio, Lucid)
  • Must be able to attend at least 2 days a week in an office environment (Gaydon)
