Position:  Sales Operations Intern

Location:  Mahwah, NJ

Details of the program:

  • The program is open to students at a Junior or Senior level in a Bachelor’s Degree program or a Master's Program.
  • The Internship is for June 10, 2024 to May 23, 2025
  • 25-29 hours per week during business hours (Business Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm)
  • Hybrid Schedule available
  • Paid internship - $18/hour

 

What you will be doing:

  • Assisting the Retailer Sales Assistance & Incentives Planning Team in all facets of the department in order to support Retailer achievement of monthly sales objectives.  Great opportunity to learn and experience the sales operations division within the Automotive industry. 

  • Reviewing monthly sales incentive program announcements to ensure alignment with guidelines
  • Becoming independently proficient with all sales and incentive business systems
  • Supporting regional teams on order intake and cancellations activities
  • Collaborating with other departments in an effort to keep field teams apprised of all initiatives
  • Point person for regions for additional assistance required from corporate office.
  • Reviewing, understanding, and articulating incentive program specifications to retailers
  • Validating retailer supporting documentation to ensure all requirements are met for incentive payments
  • Developing sales operation procedures to create a Retailer procedural manual
  • Identifying efficiencies throughout the department that could increase effectiveness
  • Ad hoc projects as required to support Sales Operations

 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in progress (Junior or Senior), or pursuing a graduate studies degree (copy of transcript required)
  • Strong Analytical background
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • High level of professionalism
  • Detailed orientated, self starter, strong work ethic, team player, ability to build to build rapport and communicate confidently; 
  • Member of Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills
