JOB TITLE: DevOps Engineer

SALARY: £50,000 - £53,000

LOCATION: Manchester





Based in our brand new hi-tech Digital Delivery Centre in the heart of Manchester, you’ll be working alongside the best engineers in the world.
As DevOps you’ll have a passion for quality, and proven experience of cloud infrastructure, software engineering and SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) practices, to deliver a variety of world-class digital projects at our site in Manchester. We are looking for great engineers who have a passion for innovative problem solving, quality-first coding and

DevOps/SRE practices.


As part of your role, you’ll be working on operating and enhancing our Pivotal Cloud Foundry platform and cloud infrastructure within the lab, ensuring its smooth ongoing operation to meet defined SLOs. You’ll be working with product squads to provide platform services as well as leading automation, building tools for the lab and reduction of manual toil across all products.


You’ll form part of a collaborative, iterative and agile process in a multi-disciplined team helping deliver best-in-class digital solutions where you’ll have a unique opportunity to help support and grow an entirely new software engineering and DevOps capability so we continue to be at the forefront of our industry.




You’ll join us with substantial experience in Unix OS and ideally recent experience in container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc) and a scripting language (e.g. Python). We’d also like you to have experience of at least one major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure) and ideally Cloud Foundry.


You’ll have experience of Site Reliability Engineering practices and principles as well as in operational monitoring and dashboarding for applications (SonarQube, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). We’d also like you to have good automation skills and previous experience in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
