WHAT TO EXPECT

 

This is an important role within the Cross-Carline (XCL) Transformation and Delivery function as the successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence JLR’s future Infotainment and Electrical product and feature offering.

 

You’ll support the post strategy phase growth and evolution of a competitive, modern luxury Infotainment and Electrical product/feature proposition/offer. Directly building technology into our four differentiated brands.

 

You’ll also contribute to system strategies and feature planning as well as be a key author into the creation of Infotainment and Electrical marketing briefs for all stakeholders across commercial to build from. Directly investing in technology and innovation, being at the forefront.

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • You will build on the work done in the strategy phase to evolve a competitive, modern luxury Infotainment and Electrical product/feature proposition/offer cross-carline (XCL) 
  • You will be working cross-carline (XCL) to understand opportunities & product improvements without a strategy phase pre curser or input. Insights that will drive you include customer advisory boards both internally and externally sourced
  • You will author cross-carline (XCL) product briefs; Specify detailed product requirements covering user experience, technical requirements and process integration. To do this you will be highly collaborative with both internal and external teams in order to deliver to the required timing
  • You will be the conduit for all requests on this topic. Typical conduit between engineering teams and commercial teams, covering for example the following; voice of customer; competitor insight; price/volume assumptions; customer insight
  • You will bring your passion and enthusiasm for technology and never be afraid to share those insights
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
 
As the Cross-Carline (XCL) Infotainment and Electrical Lead, you’ll need the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Automotive experience whilst not a mandatory requirement is strongly preferred
  • Prior experience working in or directly with an Electrical/Software Engineering function or Infotainment systems would be an advantage
  • The ideal candidate is likely to have prior experience in Product/Brand Marketing
  • The ideal candidate has knowledge of JLR’s key processes and has product/project managed content through it
  • Demonstrated experience with product analysis, and competitive benchmarking
  • A proficient user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • A related degree is an advantage but not mandatory
