This is a critical role within the XCL Operations and Planning function at Jaguar Land Rover. Our aim is to drive better decision, better systems, and better design within the organization. We are responsible for developing the customer-driven strategies and business propositions for offer structure and working with the Product Marketing and finance teams to optimise features to drive enhanced profitability. We are a centre of excellence: we encourage best practices within product marketing and product strategy, we navigate through the bigger picture and drive decisions into products, by delivering pragmatic, implementation ready strategies for features and vehicle commodities. 


You will be focusing on defining the future offer structure. You will be supporting the definition of aligned Jaguar Land Rover strategies for vehicles which enhance the brand position, the customer experience and overall corporate profitability. In addition, you will provide the voice of marketing transformation strategy into senior reviews, and you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end transformation activities in product marketing .


Further, within the role, you will provide key input to new product strategy within Jaguar Land Rover. You will be directly developing a customer-driven strategy and business propositions for JLR product offer, working with strategy consultants and ICD. Consequently, you will be a large contributor to the new product creation process and will ensure that JLR brings features and technologies to market that are competitive, timed and priced correctly.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
•    Provide analysis to gauge the market effect of changes of offer structures
•    Develop marketing strategies for JLR portfolio
•    Pitch business proposition to internal stakeholders up to all level of seniority
•    Define product positioning and customer value leadership for product features, vehicle attributes and technologies
•    Conduct volume, pricing and capacity analysis for new feature content
•    Provide competitive analysis to support attribute Gap analysis and Commonality, Variety and Complexity studies
•    Develop business cases for offer structure, technologies and features 
•    Liaise with key regional marketing teams to capture customer needs and local trends
•    Develop end to end launch plans for changes in feature fitment linking in with launch best practices
•    Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time




As the Product Optimisation Analyst, you’ll need the following knowledge, skills and experience:
•    Experience of conducting volume, pricing and capacity analysis
•    Experience of developing financial modelling
•    Experience of developing business cases 
•    Strong knowledge of consumer insights and Voice of Customer
•    Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
•    IT literate in Excel, Tableau.

•    Comfortable challenging with strong influencing and engagement skills - able to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style
